October 20, 12:35
Room III

This report suggests looking at the problem of dirty code in development and support of large commercial projects. We will consider the famous Boy Scout rule in action, on examples from life. There will be presented various techniques that allow to clean up very messy and complex code in the “background” mode, without compromising the functionality of the system and missing the deadlines. The report will be of interest to a wide audience of middle-level programmers who know PHP + JS and want to take a deeper look at the problem of legacy code refactoring in large commercial projects.
